Ask me anything about Astronomy

As an aspiring astrophysicist, I know a thing or two about space. I also know that space is super cool and almost everyone I've ever talked to wants to learn more about it. This is a technique of studying I do with friends and family, as by teaching something that I know, if better cements that concept into my brain. Fair warning: I don't know everything, and I will let you know if what you're asking is out of my grasp. But I'm pretty good, so fire away.

Not sure if this is more astronomy or engineering, bit of both i guess, so it might be a bit unfair, but: How realistic is Elon Musks goal to have a colony of 80,000 people on mars by 2050? Also, how many methods of detecting non-intelligent life are there? I know there are a fair few for intelligent life, such as looking for waves and signals, ect. But I imagine it must be infinitely more difficult to look for, say, bacteria. Not a quiz, just curious, but I hope it helps in some way.
