my mate is pretty useless, he is always dying in pve, but in crucible with his invective, he is first most matches, just because he tends to get lucky running in to hotspots. i find shotguns very easy to use, and because I'm a pve player, i tend to use them because they require such little skill and i can come 1st often. once i tried using a sniper, and i failed ridiculously, i barely killed anyone, even though i always use them in pve. i think the problem is more a case of everyone migrating to snipers. they do require skill to use, but now everyone has realised how good they are when you have that skill, everyone has migrated and adapted, and became skilled with a sniper. i think its just a mass skill adaption.
