snipers haven't changed since vanilla. people always find one thing new to complain about its insane. we get it man, you can't snipe and you're sick of getting sniped. get gud

Actually, they have. They were nerfed in 2.0 to have more flinch and aa was toned down... At least according to the weapons balance dude in a Crucible Radio interview. So technically they're worse now.

I dont believe the aa stat was actually changed in any way. But, on average, the aa of Y2 snipers is lower than that of Y1 snipers.

This is true but there is also a higher availability of good snipers than ever. 1KYS is easy to acquire and has enough impact to res and Overshield snipe. Used to be only Efrideets that could do that so you had to put a bit more work into getting a high impact sniper. Now everyone has one so the meta is actually worse.

No... Longbow, LDR, Icebreaker, Black Hammer, Efrideet's Spear, and Her Benevolence could res snipe. Now, there's actually a pretty low availability of Legendary/Exotic snipers that can res snipe.

I suppose, perhaps shotguns were a bigger issue at the time and people just didn't rage about any of those like they do 1KYS.

Very true. Same goes for that god roll CT-D that is a quest reward! I deliberately dismantled both just too force myself to use other guns!

Yet that god roll has barely anymore falloff distance than the first shotgun you getting in the game, lol
