Expansion means [i]Add[/i] content. Every new dlc they just [i]Replace[/i] it instead.
There would've been no problem keeping old stuff relevant, because we still have to grind for infusion fuel.
House of Wolves was the best Destiny era hands down. None of this crap, and I could use whatever I wanted. I found myself grinding for Etheric Light just to bring my favorites forward.
Destiny is not an MMO. It's a shared world shooter. Besides... You don't need to invalidate what you had to get the new stuff. Not to mention it's not a subscription model. You paid for the gear and missions. You should be able to play everything.
