I believe the new Chroma-compatible armors and weapons will replace what the vendors are selling.

The croma gear will only drop from faction packages. The vendors will still sell what they normally do.

Shame, better start grinding those marks it seems. Hopefully IB at least isn't changing its stock, they never mentioned it.
