Xur-Derp

Alright, so, just as Xur has shown us this week, sometimes people can be forgetful. Thats why I'm posting today instead of yesterday. This wont be as in depth as I plan to get in future Xur posts as I am currently on the boat to paradise right now. Our tentacle faced friend from beyond the Reef showed up without an exotic weapon. Which is rather unfortunate as I have the armor he's selling and an unfortunate amount of strange coins. HEAVY SYNTHS FOR DAYS. Anyways, lets get down to it, shall we? For Titans, we have the Helm of Inmost Light. Not the best Titan exotic, but I generally use it when running striker. It grants Death From Above and Headstrong to Fist of Havoc which makes it a very useful tool. Whether your panicking or planning, Death From Above and Head Strong do wonders, especially when you add shockwaves or an aftermath to that. Devastating in control. Just remember when you take it off or you might go cliff diving off the side of Cauldron. Yeah, Trials wasn't Super great last night. Kinda awkward. For Hunters, we have one of my favorite exotics from HoW, the Celestial Nighthawk. Very much not an exotic for PVP unless you're trying to handicap yourself. Hard. But its fun to hit that overkill button! The Heavenly Nocturnal Bird of Prey cuts your Golden Gun shots to 1, but multiplies the damage by 6. Brings Big Crotesy to his knees nice and quick! If you dont have it, I highly recommend it. A great skill curve and, much like No Land Beyond, brings great satisfaction when you connect with it. The Sunbreakers, while being the Titan subclass I will dominate as this fall, are also a pair of Warlock gauntlets. Their exotic perk, Helium Cycle, increases the duration of your Solar Grenade. I haven't had much experience with these and from what I would assume, they are definitely not the best Sunsinger exotic. These work well for zoning, so you may want to run them in Trials to set up a flank. Cauldron could use some more light, you know? Next week, I will include weapon stats as well. Now, real quick exotic weapon review. This will be quick and not as in depth as I will be doing in the future. Lets talk Gally. The good ol' elusive, pretty-looking nuke of Destiny, Gjallahorn is a tracking rocket launcher with a perk called Wolf pack rounds. This thing eats guardians and bosses alike. It's gotten to the point that Bungie will actually being nerfing it ever so slightly this fall, decreasing the damage done by wolf pack rounds. It'll be interesting to see how dramatic this change will be. And how frustrated I'll be seeing as I got mine only a few weeks ago. Well, the boats moving and I'm getting a tad sea sick, so I'm gonna leave it at that. I will see you star side on Sunday. Until then, have a great weekend, Researchers!
