Questions of Morality

1. Someone spends a week working and gets his paycheck. If there were absolutely no consequences and nobody would ever know you stole it, would you? 2. Some guy is in a relationship with the girl you really like. Their relationship is a very happy one, for both of them. If you were able to, and nobody would ever knew you did it, would you ruin their relationship and take her for yourself? (In this hypothetical situation, she would go to you if her relationship with him were to end. Also, just switch those genders around if you're a girl or gay.) 3. Someone you don't know spends a week playing a game that you also play, and he gets the best weapon or armor in the game. If you had the opportunity to steal it, would you? 4. Someone spends an entire day working on a personal project, such as piecing together a large Lego set. If nobody would ever know you did it, would you destroy it just for the fun of it? 5. Someone finds something that any other person would consider unimportant, but he has taken a liking to it. For example, a pinecone. He found it and now keeps it in his room because he likes it. Would you take it and throw it away for the fun of it? ___________________________________________ All I ask is a simple yes or no, but feel free to give a more detailed answer if you would like.

  • 1. Based solely on that information, no. 2. Absolutely not. I'd rather see someone I love happy. 3. Probably. Especially if theft was a gameplay mechanic. I don't consider in-game items property, and most game companies would agree. It's not their problem if they delete all your in-game shit. 4. Nah, I definitely wouldn't be a dick for no reason. 5. ^
