Confused whether I should upvote for the accuracy of the title thread, or downvote for the sarcasm that ensues. That's a toughy.
Change 2: Destiny suffered from that very issue in Y1 with all the boss fights, especially strikes. Y2 in truth isn't that much better in missons or strikes. And the most puzzle-ly of all the strikes is a pain in the ass because the entire mission is and endless slog, like a Omnigul 2 or something.
Change 3: The PVP currently should be scrapped. Hot garbage. Completely lacks balance. And that's before Bungie completely destroyed my ability to have a decent connection (a connection that is open NAT and hasn't changed on any other game being played, btw).
Change 4&5: Actually, you inadvertently pointed out that Destiny does need a change. It needs the option of Raid MatchMaking. The Divsion does have MatchMaking for endgame content and said it will have MM for it's raid equivalent when released. So whatever is in the Division is more out of the endgame content than what I can get from Destiny since Destiny doesn't allow me to group up with people.
Change 6: About scrapping sparrows, pikes, heavy pikes and interceptors... They already did that. It's called the Dreadnaught. ;)

Raid matchmaking.... Lol. Please go back to the division and head shot an enemy for an hour.
-
I haven't played the division. Dumb.
-
In the Division, at least I'm allowed an opportunity to play the game. That's more than what can be said for Destiny and it's lack of MM. What you're saying is that it's better to not play Destiny than it is to play it at less than absolutely ideal circumstances? If that's the case, then maybe Destiny already lost to the Division. It certainly is by current player count. That's for sure.
-
Edited by Evilless001: 3/19/2016 11:31:11 PMNothing is inhibiting you from playing all of Destiny. If you choose not to put the effort in to find a group that's on you. Ideal is an understatement, playing a raid with auto joined randoms would be the worst ingame experience ever. The Division came out a week ago lol, I'd hope its player base would be higher. Keep in mind it hasn't hit anywhere near Destiny at its peak and I doubt it ever will. Casuals don't stick to one game very long, which is what the division is at the moment, even more so than Destiny.
-
Should I have to program MM into the game myself and add in all the bug fixes for Destiny if those show up as well? A game that requires multiple people online in order to play should have a system that helps players find these other players. Destiny does not and that's a failure on the game. I'm surprised this game isn't asking me to type in IP addresses while it's at it. It already surpassed Destiny at it's peak. Look at any numbers, not to mention launch sales were already higher too. Those are just facts you're going to have to live with.
-
Lol if you say so.
-
The numbers do, I'm just reading them aloud. ;)
-
LOL... Had a guy try to sparrow kill me and the other matchmade teammate for 5 mins. Then he did the hotline bling for the entire next strike. Annoying, but doable with two people. You're high if you think raid matchmaking would result in anything other than rage and frustration.
-
You know what's great about the division matchmaking, you can hear both game and party chat at the same time. I can actually hear the randoms cry for a revive now lol
-
Raid matchmaking would be a disaster in Kings Fall. Maybe it'd work for Crota, but thats also questionable. I really don't think people understand what will happen if bungie opens that box.
-
If it's optional then not much would change. Plenty of games have optional raid matchmaking.
-
Only one MM team would have to complete to make it worthwhile. Plus, even if people constantly fail, it at least gives something to do. It's better that teammates are terrible than having a game that's terrible.
-
No. Nobody would use raid MM and people would bitch about shitty teammates.
-
They already do bitch. Destiny needs mm. It has forever. There's 0 difference than wasting time finding a group on lfg.
-
No not even close, this game doesn't need raid matchmaking.
-
If you get shitty teammates from lfg who are screwing around or otherwise hindering the group, you can kick them. Have you not seen the endless afk players in a strike? You have to deal with it or just leave the strike. There'll be so many people trying to get free loot by making others 5-person the raids. LFG I'd infinitely better. In-game matchmaking for raids is a terrible idea.
-
You can kick in endgame matchmaking in the division. As long as you are party leader. Just like destiny.
-
You can make in game matchmaking and put perimeters to prevent stuff like that. You can vote people out of the group. You can report bad players and have a consequence. So many ways to make it work.
-
Except on lfg you can control your group comp. Random MM? NOPE.
-
Did anyone say it had to be random?
-
If it's in game, it WILL BE.
-
Seriously how hard is it to go to lfg and find a group, people are so lazy. It would take like 5 minutes, compared to the amount of time you would spend wiping with randoms doesn't seem that bad.
-
5 minutes? Thats a laugh. 100% great teams found everytime right?
-
Edited by Evilless001: 3/19/2016 11:25:02 PMHigher percentage than having a team auto assigned to you. That's why people have requirements.
-
And you dont have to use a team thats autosigned. You can still make one or use lfg. Its just an added option. Id rather have more options than just one. But you can stay with your bland cheerios if you want.
