You're right, but because people don't fully accept lgbtq, these changes are going to require a lot of effort. What I don't like about the post is that she's trying to rush these efforts instead of gradually allowing them to come naturally. A lot of people want these changes so it's inevitable that people are going to acknowledge the rights these people want, but the government has to make sure the general populace are okay with these changes so that anarchy doesn't happen. It may seem far fetched, but people are crazy and don't take to change so well.
