Having read the insightful threads from respectable members of this community on how The Division is the Destiny-killer, aswell as witnessing the incredibly popular social-utopia that is the Division forum, I really think Bungie should take a page or two out of Ubisoft's book.
By making a few changes based on winning aspects of The Division, I firmly believe Destiny could once again be a great game.
Change 1: Enemies - Scrap every enemy and instead create a single race of dregs dressed in an assorted variety of cotton / polyester sweatshirts, scarves and hats. Buff enemy armor by 800%. Name them all Alex.
Change 2: Bosses - Scrap all boss fight mechanics. Scrap every existing boss in lieu of one of the aforementioned enemies with a higher amount of HP and damage output. Pick a noun at random, set as boss name.
Change 3: PVP - Scrap the existing PVP completely, and instead allow guardians to kill eachother in a specific area of Patrol mode. Players must complete a Warsat event to keep any collected loot. Have deaths reduce light level.
Change 4: Locations - Scrap the moon, venus, mars, saturn, and reef. Scrap patrol matchmaking.
Change 5: Endgame - Scrap all endgame content in lieu of a max light level difficulty for 5 story missions.
Change 6: Mobility - Scrap sparrows, pikes, heavy pikes and interceptors. Scrap jumping. Scrap crouching. Buff jogging. Add shadestep to every class.
Change 7: Gear - Hand out legendaries and exotics freely, but with a 99% chance of having a useless roll. Sweet! A Gjallarhorn! ..Aw man, Shank burn..
Change 8: Other - Make the game third-person. Nerf strange coin drop rate. Scrap existing supers. Players must queue to interact with vendors.
These suggestions are the result of hours of tireless research.

So basically.... You want nothing to change?
-
Love this
-
I enjoy warframe more than these two games
-
Actually, some sort of open world pvp like the Dark Zone would be pretty cool.

I'm a level 23 on the Division and have been level 23 for a week now. Yesterday I figired, hey two of my friends are level 30, let me join them and maybe I'll enjoy the game a little bit. As soon as I spawned in I got contaminated cuz I'm not rank 4 in some shit so I spawned in dead. I figured, let me just sit here dead and collect xp and almost fell asleep because I couldn't even watch what they were doing in their perspective. When you're dead, you have to stare at a white screen and watch your buddies who look like atari characters run around. The division is great for me personally if I have sleeping issues and need to go to bed quick. Just die and the white light will hypnotize you.

Edited by sirgrumpsalot: 3/18/2016 3:57:41 PMYeah. Cry more about why ppl leave this turd which is called Deadstiny. Oh - have you enjoyed your new Light level increase ? You can farm endlessly for new stuff. Oh and those new armors ? Who just look like another shader? Oh i forgot how you paid for one of the biggest DLCs for the game and got 2 hours of gameplay according to the brand "NEW" enemies which werent at all only old enemies with the same sorry ass shaders which now you will be able to wear. Come on dude. Stop beeing delisional. This game become ASS! I played the sh*t out of it and i'm never coming back. As soon as you realize that this company is far away from the company which made Halo and far away from steping up the game you will be a healthier person. Im not saying Division is withouth flaws but it's still more enjoyable for me than Destiny with kids and crybabies all around. Nerf after nerf, cry after cry, its just boring. There are plenty more games which will bring more joy for me than playing with teabaging kids without any respect whatsoever. You cant even become better because that will make you cheater aswell :) Oh and most duouchey and toxic enviroment i ever been to. With crap streamers like KJbooby, Fagosity73, tripleWHACK who were mostly wathced by delusional kids with "Carry me" attitude. I'm really happy new games are coming. And im really happy i dont have to be part of this bulls*it anymore. Its a personal opinion though. And something which i think about certain things and ppl doesnt have to be the same thing others think. Enjoy it if you want to. EDIT: Its funny how most of you are kids without skills. Get better scrubs! EDIT2: Oh i enjoy trolling to much to just leave this fforums. There are so many kids over here to troll and mess with :)

Well to me the number one reason why The Division isn't going to "kill Destiny" is because there are still so many people on this and other sites complaining about Destiny. That shows you care and have hope that it could change. If it were truly dying this place would be a ghost town and people would be on a Division forum bitching about that. You need to learn to let it go.
-
Lol couldn't stop laughing. Honestly though destiny could take a few things from the division. Mabey have its own type of DZ. Besides that though everything is alright in destiny. Division is new destiny is old that were half or should I say 90% of the critsium comes from. Can't wait to see the division forum 2 years from now.

Having a Dark Zone in addition to the crucible would actually be a cool new addition.
-
Both games need to stop smelling their own farts.
-
Rose! You, Sir are a true Guardian.
-
Division could learn something from Gears of War
-
I play destiny and love it but I'm no fan boy like you sir I do also play divison

Edited by Mr Biscuits1999: 3/18/2016 2:29:57 PMSomeone hasn't saved up enough allowance to get a new game...
Op
Dude some of this is just stupid the two games are very different from each other, if you bought it and been here for as long as I have, you should know the division isn't at all the same
-
Those hours of tireless research has paid off. Amazing Ideas! I can't wait for the Division's DLC though. Who needs new planets with new bad guys when I can play on on a brand new block two streets over. Alex now has %1600 armor buff and new beanie cap too!

I'm playing the division right now and it is a lot of fun. The controls feel very natural for a 3rd person shooter. Would it be as replayable like Destiny? I don't think so. In destiny i had the urge to keep playing for that 1 exotic/legendary (i'm looking at you hopscotch). I don't have that feeling in division. And that is kind of good thing :-) Graphics are underwhelming in my opinion. But that destroyed Manhattan open world..... Woow!! You can walk for hours in that city Division is more a casual game that's gonna be loads of fun, but it won't keep me away from destiny. It came at the right moment when there was not much left to do/collect in destiny.

OMG, the bosses! I always run through a game like this solo, so I can fully appreciate the story and exploration. The boss is always just a dude with a flamethrower that one-shots me who is always sprinting at me and takes all of my ammo to get his shield down. I swear that has been my last three boss fights. The only saving grace is that they don't lock any doors behind you, so I can run backwards through the whole level slowly whittling the boss's health. It also saves you from the axe guy who magically appears only when you aim down sights. Those mechanics have no staying power.

I've spent more time playing Destiny than any other game in my life. Really enjoy it, although right now there is nothing enticing to do except to Raid in hopes of getting that last 320 class item I need to get my 3rd and final character to 320. Of course this will all be for nothing once we get the new level cap in less than 4 weeks. Very happy about new content, but not so happy if it's the end game content that most of the players disliked, i.e. POE. That alone may minimize my playtime. Why do I mention all of this?? Because right now I'm devoting all of my gaming time to The Division, which I am really enjoying for the most part. I like the grind of leveling up your character with new weapons, armor and skill--much the same way I did in Destiny. However, unlike Destiny, once you reach level 30 there is not much else to do except run the same type side missions and encounters over and over again to upgrade your Medical, Security or Tech wings. Yes, there is the Darkness zone but that is basically just a PvP grind for weapon/armor upgrades. I'm hoping that the upcoming Incursion will give us some true end game content that will give us the same enjoyment that we've gotten from the Destiny Raids. That being said, The Division is not a Destiny-killer. It is merely a new game that does many of the same things that Destiny has done. In time you will see similar Division complaints that we've seen with Destiny regarding content and doing the same activities over and over.

Most of my friends have switched to the division,I might give it a go.

Finally a post to show how different the games actually are.
