Does anyone remember EQ? The eternal grind? Thats the way games used to be... Now every one wants to master a game in a month toss it on a shelf and forget about it till the next dlc. If thats what you want there is CoD. This is a rpg with a already exelerated time table to end game to apease to the impatient milinials.
Most other MMOs EQ and WoW (vanilla not this pokemon and panda crap) you where looking at a month before a semi hardcore player (8hrs a day) even hit max lvl which was 60 not 30 and then there was a grind for gear to get into the raid. Then the raid droped one peice of gear that could be used by the 11 others with you so you rolled on it.
But here you participate you get something...
TL/DR If you dont want to get your grind on then kindly move on. Rome wasnt built in a day neither should a RPG charicter. Dont ruin this genre anymore with your impatience with gearing up.

Trying to get epics in EQ would have killed the younger gamers of today in EQ. People don't really know what grind is. I remember sitting for a good while just giving a dwarf some muffins for rep so I wasn't KoS. Vanilla was raiding was 40 people though wasn't it? Hah.

Exactly! I don't understand the mentality of racing to level cap then be bored because "lack of content"

Level cap don't mean jack in this game, you're chasing perfect rolls on high-ends.

You mean like how you can just buy a level pack in WoW to immediately max out?

That max rank means crap if you don't have gear..sure you can do LFR(spam buttons or go AFK), but try and do a norm raid (or higher) or Heroics Oh wait, you can't cause they are restricted until you meet the I level

Thats why i put in the pokemon and panda reference vanilla was a grind. No boosts.

Should've gone with FFXIV. Now there's a grind with great raid mechanics that make it worth it.

However that was so disappointing when you finally beat a raid boss and literally got nothing because nothing for your spec dropped, or when it finally did you didn't get it anyway because you rolled a 1. Or worse of all, you go in with a PUG and lose the roll because someone wants the item for their alternate spec.

And remember when gear had +fire spell power and +healing instead of just spell power....
