The boss battles are insane!
Forget boring names like Theosyion; the Restorative Mind, Phogoth; the Untamed or Alak-Hul; the Darkblade. Today, my team and I fought a boss called Animal. Animal! It was awesome!
He wasn't equipped with a lame Guided Rocket Salvo, Back-Mounted Arc Howitzer, or clad in silly Glowing Husk Armor or a High-Gravity Replicating, Pressurised Powersuit either. He was wearing a hoodie. Not just any hoodie either. A blue one. Wicked.
Did I mention his weapon of choice was an SMG? No, not a Singularity Materialising Grenade. A sub-machine gun!
The bossfight mechanics were super-dope too. No Relics, Auras, Brands, or Swords. No Gaze Holding, Cross-Dimensional Platforming , Darkness Cleansing, or Orb-Dropping. No siree..
Get this.. you have to hide behind cover.. and then shoot him when it's safe to do so. WHAT!? AMAZING!
I'm totally looking foward to fighting more bosses. I hear the degree of variation is stunning. One is even said to wear a beanie!
UPDATE: Whoa! Second boss down! Super intense fight, bros. The diversity is stellar! Green hoodie this time. GREEN! Is this even the same game!? I can't wait to see which colour hoodie the next one wears. #CreativityTooStronk

Edited by Prof Sheitbag: 3/16/2016 5:01:56 PMI got a trendy beanie, and put it on - it was blue! Then I got another beanie, and it was green! I didn't realize blue was "trendy" now! The Division is opening my eyes to the world of fashion! In all seriousness though, the Division is Ubisoft's attempt to milk the faux-MMO-on-a-console market. Devs/Pubs see the success Bungie has had and are looking to replicate it. What pisses me off though is I see now why there has been absolutely no news from Ubisoft on another Splinter Cell - they took the SC team, had them take a reductionist apporach to Blacklist, slap some color tiered weapon/gear drops in a section of Manhattan, and call it the Division. And they didn't even get that creative with the weapon tiers - "Let's just copy every other game in existence". F*ck me, dude. If you played Blacklist or Conviction, and you played Destiny, then guess what? You have played the Division.
