If Palmer doesn't die soon I'm gonna stop playing Halo.

In the final battle, Chief and Locke will have the upper hand on Cortana and her Promethean army, when all of a sudden, a terrifying sound echoes through the galaxy. Everyone stops and looks up at the sky, and, to their horror,[b] they see it[/b]. a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, floating above them, pieces breaking off of it, electrical fires emerging out of it from lack of dedicated servers. "Dear god, they forgot to fix it." Says Chief, right before the MCC goes into supernova and explodes, destroying everything in the galaxy. Oh, and then a cliffhanger for Halo 7.

If the Chief is gonna die in Halo 6, it should go like this. The Chief is lying on the floor, battered and bloody, barely clinging to life as his hand goes limp. Cortana sees this and tears would start to trickle down her face. The image of the Chief's body would be relayed to the UNSC Infinity. Everyone would bow their heads and mourn for the loss of a hero. Then, Cortana would run to the Chief, sobbing and grieving over what she did and what she is seeing. Then, the Chief would reach out his hand to touch her face and say this. "I've always wanted to do that." This would mirror what Cortana did at the end of Halo 4. Seeing this, Cortana grips the Chief's hand and smiles. She's still crying and sobbing when she says this.. "I only wanted to protect u. I wanted to make the Galaxy safe for u. This was all for u. After what u went through when u were a kid....I..." The Chief responds. "Cortana. I know. But, not like this. I never wanted any of this. All I wanted was for u to come home with me. Back to Earth." Blood appears on the Chief's visor from the inside. He's coughing it up. "I know.", Cortana says, "But....the Reclamation." The Chief looks at her. "Do u think I give a -blam!- about it? I don't care about the UNSC or all of this Forerunner bullshit. I never have. All I cared about was humanity..the Galaxy...and....u. That's why I tracked u to Genesis. That's why I fought off that damned Warden. It was all for u. " He starts to go unconscious. Cortana's still gripping his hand. At this point, Cortana's heart is starting to break. "John. Stay with me. C'mon. We're gonna get out of here. I promise." The Chief looks at her again and smiles under his helmet. "Don't...make a promise that u can't keep." His hand starts to slide down her face. "Do the right thing...stop this...all of this....save humanity...the Galaxy..do it for..." With those final words, the Chief goes unconscious. He's gone. His hand goes limp. Cortana lays her head on the Chief's chest and cries and sobs. "I'm sorry." ,She says, "I'm so sorry. For everything." She curls up next to the Chief, her head still on his chest. This'll be a loss that she'll never recover from.

In the intro Halsey said that Locke will be ordered to kill them both. But who's the other person? Is it Cortana or chief?

I do think that Chief should die, but that it should not be a glorious death. If anything, it should be a gruesome death fairly early in the game at the hands of something that makes Chief look powerless.

I want Jun to come back. I can just imagine its him, Chief and Arby. Arby is half dead on the floor. Chief is pinned down and has an elite with an energy sword about to strike... Then Jun headshots the elite saving Chief and the all the covenant attack Jun... Chief and Arby try to save him but it's too late. I think that would be good.

Master chief is a video game icon....lol, they kill off master chief and it'll just be stupid

Arbiter. Does anyone else see Arbiter dying BEFORE Chief or am I the only one?

Halo 5 had a worse story than destiny, halos done for.

I'll be absolutely A-OK with Chief dying, as long as it's done well. Cortana? She should have stayed dead.

I guarantee you a grunt will die.
