Go buy that "Not Like The Others" scout rifle from the Vanguard vendor. It's seriously the most underrated vendor weapon out there. Amazing perks:
- Explosive rounds
- Crowd Control
- Reactive Reload
That's TWO damage buff perks. One procs after a kill, and the other procs after reloading. In PvE you will constantly have a 33% damage buff. That's ON TOP of the damage bonus from Explosive Rounds.
In PvE you will pretty much obliterate trash mobs by just hip-firing in their general direction. Not to mention it has stellar aim assist and a pretty decent mag size at 17. I like it better than Hung Jury.
It's SO GOOD!! Go get one!

Got one with Zen Moment, Explosive Rounds, and Firefly.

Dude that sounds like an amazing roll as well! EXPLOSIONS!!!

Edited by Forever277: 3/13/2016 8:53:35 PMActually they both proc after a kill and i got one a long time ago and you will almost never get both at once even with scout reload arms. Maybe with scout reload raid arms in an aura but that's next to useless But it is a great scout rifle, just that perk set isn't as amazing as it looks at first glance I have one with Crowd control and firefly and it's just stupid good for pve, especially with mobs
-
They don't have to proc at the same time. A solid damage buff pretty much ask the time is awesome.
-
It's not all the time, they both proc after kills homie. Reactive reload only activates if you get a kill and reload immediately, but why would you ever do that if crowd control is active already... Those perks aren't symbiotic at all Reactive reload and outlaw are great together though. It's a good scout rifle but the vendor roll isn't as great as it looks
-
As others have said, you get a kill, jump to your next position, reload while in the air, and start shooting your next target with your reactive reload buff. That should last at least until your next trash mob kill. Now you're on crowd control again. Rinse and repeat. Granted you're not getting firefly explosions. But there is a tradeoff. You're constantly one-shotting trash mobs to the body that normally take two body shots with Hung Jury. Plus, there is the massive stagger effect against all non-ultras. Red-health enemies stagger with almost every shot, along with any enemy hit by the AOE damage. It keeps the hordes at bay while you annihilate them. It's like having high caliber rounds without the reduced stability/handling. Hung Jury might actually be better against trash mobs, but to me Not Like The Others feels more balanced in its killing power. No grand explosions that wipe out a cluster of thrall, but 2-3 rounds can easily take out a group of six, while it hits harder against elite/ultras, and is more effective at taking down shields. Just feels right to me. IDK, each to their own.
-
I usually reload because I run out of ammo. When I reload it's nice to have a good damage buff.
-
Get some kills with crowd control and then reload for reactive reload. Makes the damage buffs last forever
-
Buy one and try it oit, it hardly ever works like that lol
-
I had an auto with both perks. Always worked like that
-
It and if you can get it to drop the NL Shadow has dropped with explosive rounds on it too.
-
I'd love to get NL Shadow with ER. Is it just a crucible drop in year 2? Or can I get it elsewhere?
-
Ya its just a crucible drop, far as I know.
-
You had to tell those plebeians. Should've let them keep thier lame ass hung jury that they all have boners for.
-
Lol, I know... Part of me wanted to keep it a secret. But I'm a nice guy. I have a hard time letting scrubs be scrubs...
-
Guess I better get it out the ole vault
-
Wow dude I think I will
-
Dude it's my favorite PvE primary. Not quite as fun to use as Hard Light, but if I want to really bring the pain, I use Not Like The Others.
-
It sounds like a gun I should have been leveling from the start lol. I'll definitely try and get it up there with my other guns when I buy it.
-
Yeah it was my first vendor purchase. Before TTK I had a "Another NITC" scout with the same impact/ROF, and it had explosive rounds and third eye. I never used exotic primaries because that was my gun. It was amazing. I was legitimately pissed when I realized I couldn't bring it up to year 2 light level. And then I happened upon Not Like The Others, and breathed a sigh of relief. Lol
