With Goth I think it's a combination of being in the right place at the right time, having somewhat of a following from Borderlands and being an active and all-roundish decent - albeit sometimes a bit dick'ish - dude. Broman is a mystery I can only speculate in. The guy is the worst player on the planet and frequently a total douche - usually as an outcome of him being too stupid to understand what people in his stream really mean, things are constantly flying over his head, and because he's so mentally weak that his defensive mechanisms instantly are kicking in. I'm worried that whatever "success" he has on twitch goes to his head and he tries the same crap with someone IRL. That could end poorly because there are a lot of people out there who wouldnt take it. As for why he's popular, I think it's because there are a lot of other people just like him out there, weak mentalities with rough childhoods (the latter is an assumption but I doubt that school was kind on Broman).
