People might say adding satire is bad, but people will get SO salty if you don't.

It makes a humorous point, but also works on another level by making an inherently profound point about the NRA For example, a couple of years ago, the NRA blamed violent videogames for killing sprees, as their reaction to possible legislation and criticism of the easy accessibility and corporate promotion of firearms to the general public Now, don't misunderstand this post as a political debate about guns, I'm not getting into that - I just using the quote above, from a satirical publication, as an example of satire
