, you misunderstand twitch
It's not that I misundeerstand twitch, it's that the casual majority doesn't understand how skill is more important than anything.

 • I'm just going to roll our two conversations into one thread , to make it easier . Skill is not the most important thing in a video game . People play video games for the experience, the entertainment . Skill is helpful to get enjoyment out of a game , but not the only factor . I'm a guy that watches streamers and youtubers for both skill and comedic value . I watch the likes of Fruit, Goth, whoever else I need for entertainment , I watch True vanguard , Datto and Planet destiny for info, mtashed for both. Both skill and entertainment play a role in how popular someone gets on twitch, as they are what people are looking for on twitch . But undeniably , the majority care about laughing more than getting better . You label them "the casual majority", and say that their needs are wrong. You have no place to say whether skill or entertainment is more important , neither do I . So let people watch what they want .

 • I watch for skill only. If you're bad, I have no interest in you.

 • Can you explain that ? I see no reason why an unskilled, yet entertaining person cannot be enjoyable to watch .

 • They are bad at the game and therefore, worthless to me. I'd sooner watch a neo--godwinslaw!- than a noob, and I hate -godwinslaw!-. lol

 • But their worth lies within their entertainment value , not the gameplay . There are 2 things people watch twitch for, skill and entertainment . A streamers "worth" to a watcher is how much the watcher can get out of it . If you want skilled play out of it , then the skilled streamer has more worth to you Most people seek entertainment instead of skill, and so streamers like Goth and Broman have a lot of worth to those people . You are just sticking your fingers in your ears , yelling "everyone's values in a streamer that isn't skill is wrong , I am right , you can't argue !" . I'm not trying to convince to like them , I'm explaining to you why some people like them , which was your question. Not everyone has the same values as you, and are entitled to them as such .
