Red Death still worth using?

So, it's been a while since I played Destiny, and was thinking about coming back and playing for a bit. My question is whether or not Red Death is still a good weapon after the previous changes. It was one of my favorite weapons in year 1, and I'd like to pick it back up again. Feel free to discuss your opinion on the gun, and whether I should even use it.

  • Red death feels very inconsistent. Hawkmoon is in the same boat. They're good weapons, but they feel like they're firing blanks. Unless you have God for aim, you aren't going to win any major gunfights. That said, red death is in a great position for PvE. Great during the raid, and fun to use during strikes. But... Bungo ruined the weapon for PvP by reducing it's already precariously low stability, and somehow decreasing the accuracy. So... Useable? Yes, but wouldn't recommend for PvP. If you want to hop back into the meta, equip an auto rifle with high stability, or use a scout.
