Why Are Broman & Gothalian So Popular?
I don't see why they're bigger than streamers who are actually good at the game like mtashed, Wish You Luck, tripleWRECK, Giggle Monstar, Gamesager, Realkraftyy or WaRbulletpoof. Can someone explain this to me? Why would you watch a streamer even though they're not that strong of a player?

1 ReplyAs someone who works in entertainment (broadcasting) maybe I can help shed some light on this. When you work in entertainment (let's be honest, that's what Twitch is) it is very very important you actually want to be there. When I turn on my microphone I want to be there, I'm genuinely excited to talk to my audience and I make a conscious effort to smile when I speak. When you're genuinely enjoying what you're doing, you're going to be happy. When you're happy, people will tend to gravitate to you. Regardless of how you feel about their personalities or their gameplay, I can tell you that both Broman and Gothalion are really good at this.

The community they have. They are nice, they talk to chat and they aren't greedy -blam!-boys who ignore you when you're not a sub. It's not always about the game and skill of the player on twitch.

They were speedrunners of games like Borderlands, so they started with a modest viewer count only to be pushed further up once Destiny came by, and now have gotten another boost with all of the Division hype. Besides all of that, they're entertaining to watch which is crucial to even starting off on Twitch.

They are entertaining to watch (at least to some people ) they are not pros, just reg guys you could hang out with while playing video games. I've noticed a lot of the big streamers are the kind that rely on being interesting to listen to rather than have the best gameplay. I think the person on destiny that has the best combination of good gameplay and just being the kind of guy you would want to sit down and have a beer with is kraftyy.

Yet for broman and goth i watch and listen because they are fun to watch and listen to. Would you rather watch someone who only talks about how godly he is? Or Someone who actually interacts with the chat and 9/10 positive attitude? Streaming was never who is the best. It's how you interact with your viewers that makes people want to watch you play more and chat with you. Positive attitude attracts people and negative doesn't. P.S. Don't include triple on the good players, he's just a pubstomper that's why he is not playing alot of pvp now since SBMM was implemented. Now maybe he can pubstomp again.
