The Brumal Insurgence Mission 1: Permafrost The mission takes place on the Cosmodrome, Earth, but starts with a cutscene in the Tower. You are in the Hall of Guardians with Zavala, Cayde, and Ikora. You walk in. "Glad to see you, Guardian. We have pressing news."- Zavala "What is it?"- Ghost Just then, a black mechanical creature in the back of the room makes a wierd creeping noise. Your Guardian pulls out his/ her [Insert primary weapon here] and aims it at the beast. "Wow, calm yourself. It is just one of The Reef's... what do they call them again?"- Cayde-6 "Crows"- Variks, now appearing in a blue hologram generated from a clearly visible robotic black bird, the size of a small small falcon. "I have an important... favor I need you to do."- Variks "What do you need us to do?"- Ghost "Tuyor, Psion Flayer. Ice Reapers. Stationed on Jupiter's Ice Moon Europa. He is part of a Psionic uprising against the Cabal. Is acting as an... embassador to Kings."- Variks "You mean the Fallen House of Kings?" "*Sigh*, yes."- Variks "I don't get it. Why would the Psions rise against the Empire?"- Ikora "Long ago Cabal took over Psion home world. Saw them useful. Made them slaves. Psions forced to fight for Empire. Refusal is not an option. Would only lead to death or worse."- Variks "But why now? Why would the Psions choose now to fight back?"-Ikora "Because somebody" *Looks at you* "killed all of their superior officers. Cabal here in shambles. No reinforcements and numbers weakened by Hive attacks. They saw this as a golden opportunity. And so did Kings. Kings offer to fight Cabal if Psions agree to fight with them. To join them. Not as slaves but as equals."- Variks "If the Kings get a hold of the Psions and their powers, who knows what havoc they could cause."- Zavala "So this Tuyor, what about him?"- Ghost "He is on his way to Cosmodrome to meet with Kings. Find him. Capture him. Bring him to me."- Variks "And, if you don't mind me asking, what do you hope to gain from this? The Kings and Cabal are no problems of yours."- Cayde *Variks glares at him, giving him a hateful look.* "Petra believes Tuyor may know the whereabouts of of Prince Uldren. He is. Was Mara Sov's brother. I am not a fan of his, but he is royalty."- Variks "I see..."- Cayde "Get to this, Guardian. Find Tuyor and capture him. Do not let him get to the Kings."- Zavala "Can do. Let's go."- Ghost You walk out, putting your helmet on and the screen goes to black.
