Forza on PC will be nice... But only available on the Windows Store? The games they have released so far on that store use a stupid framework that is not full screen and introduces a boat load of various issues... I hope they iron out the issues or completely drop the custom framework before Forza Motorsport 6 Apex releases.

They are fixing all of that. Actually, Valve is getting pissed because if you play Steam games you will 95% of the time have Windows and every Windows user who has Windows 10, which will be every user sooner or later, now has the Windows store and thus all of these new titles becoming a direct competitor to Steam. My gaming PC, which is 3 years old, probably can't run Forza very well. I will get it because it is free and to compare it to the console version. I like Phil Spencer's ideas.

  • Honestly, they should just get rid of the special framework. It is an extra layer of issues with nothing to gain. I'm excited for Forza Motorsport 6 Apex, but not thrilled that I have to get it from the Windows Store.

  • The framework stuff might still be there for the mobile games but I can assure you that it won't for the ports. Look at Gears UE, which just launched on win10, it runs great and doesn't have the issues that you named.

  • From what I've read, it has numerous issues.

  • Yes but not the issues that the other mobile games have in the store. They are working out a few kinks but they'll get their. It is the first time they have ever done this.

  • But PC uses Steam!

  • Steam is not the only outlet for video games. Forza Motorsport 6 Apex will not be on Steam. It will only be on the Windows Store.

  • All my PC games are from there. I don't even know what a Windows store is, a PC can get programs from anywhere. For games this is mostly Steam

  • Steam has gained its popularity over the years for a reason, but only using steam still cute you off from hundreds of games. Blizzard, for instance, almost never launches a game on steam, as they have their own service. There is also the Origin service run by EA, the windows live games, and several other smaller clients. Not to mention hundreds of games that run off their own individual client (most MMOs do this). Valve isn't really too worried as their great deals and features have assured their dominance, but they do have a fair amount of competition coming their way.

Of course a PC can get programs from other places... Kind of exactly what I said to you in the first place, in response to "but PC uses Steam". So, you mean you only use Steam? That would make a lot more sense, so only your English is bad. Windows Store is the app store on the Windows operating system. Not only is it the only place to get the game, but the games on that store all use a proprietary framework...

  • Didn't know Windows had a store, and I am an IT professional. However anything newer than 7 at work gets reformatted and 7 installed. Need a hefty PC for sotware development!

  • They are working on all that. But yeah shouldn't have had those problems to begin with lol
