Girl posts a picture in a thread designated for posting a picture of herself & gets called an attention whore, guy posts a picture in same thread but he's not an attention whore. Logic, you're not using it

But really, girls do post selfies in these threads to get attention, knowing full well that they will. Whereas guys post in hope of a few likes/replies and very often don't get them coz the guys are just, ya know, guys, and guys are boring on the interwebs.

That makes no sense, girls post for the same reason as guys, to participate in a thread. This thread was completely different than other selfie threads. It was about getting to know the people of off-topic. People with your attitude are the reason why many people don't participate

[spoiler]Don't, that's not what I want you to feel & honestly you're original comment is how a lot of people feel when they see threads like these. I made my comments so others can see that it isn't the right way of thinking. This forum is filled with kids 15-16 & younger. Most aren't confident or like how they look, when I see people post here it makes me happy because it shows they like who they are & that's a good thing. Some older folks (like myself) also posted, but like I said, it's all in good fun. This thread is better than most of what's out there on off-topic because it gives people a chance to talk about themselves & some even vent about their struggles. Have a look around, I haven't seen one person say, "hey guys, I'm so ugly," to try to get attention. Plus there's nothing wrong with wanting attention, every human being craves it every once in a while, it just depends how you go around doing it but it's normal. I'm not upset in the slightest, just wanted to explain that, I hope you have a good day as well :)[/spoiler]
