Our Jump ships what should happen!!
So I was sat down and looking at my Ship on the lobby and thinking why don't they let us Pilot them around Space like the reef and the Debris of Earth, we could team up with friends and fight the Eliksni (Fallen) etc or we could fly to and board the Ship we see in the Concept art and Search it for loot,
This could also be made in to something for Crucible:
Imagine a 5v5 match of Elimination in Space using your ships or Even Capture the flag if not there is Protect the Cargo Ship.
If not you could do Small SRL like races.
Idea for Protect the Cargo Ship:
10 Minute rounds of a set of 4 rounds were each team escorts there cargo ship to the FTL Site.
Weapons:
Plasma Cannons:- 3-Shot Burst Cannons that are like the Pulse rifle.
Bolt Cannons:- Using the basis of the Awoken Ships of the mini MAC cannon Like weapon it would do high damage but Low fire-rate.
Pod Launchers:- your ships heavy weapons they are tracking or Proximity Detonation weapons.
Auto Turret:- Small Rear end ship turret that does low damage but allows you to defend your self at the back
This was just my idea what I've been thinking about I hope you like my idea :)

This is an entirely different game. Actually it reminds me of fallout 4. I bought it think I would be playing a survival FPS. Instead I played a city building simulator.

It would never work, regardless of how Bungie make it or how many people want to play it. The moment that it gets added people will only whine about Bungie wasting their time on projects noone wanted

Mayb we'll see Content/features like that in Destiny 2? Like Clan Flagships? or Weekly Clan Planetary Ownerships? Custom Banners/Clan Emblems in-game. For now the Ships are Purely Cosmetic just to look pretty and match our taste in color schemes or patterns. Space Battles would be an Awsome thing. Sparrows at least have an Occassional Event called Sparrow racing league. Space would be too big of an Open World in my opinion and the Whole Warp/Travel planet Select interface has it's own redeeming qualities. it gives time for fireteams to chat during transitions from place to place. it lets you hear mission briefings, and it also lets you browse through menu options. The point of Ships traveling screen is to replace a boring loading screen with something awsome to look at. (Ship traveling Lightspeed) Hoping for Some Space Battles too but thats better to be left as a surprise feature than an immediately rushed Add-on thing with bugs and isssues. great ideas hope they'll be seen and picked up by a developer.

Not a bad idea, but I think that given the limited resources, they should focus on more raid and expansion content. Making the ships pilotable would be a huge undertaking, and adding playable content based around it would be even bigger. I think it was a missed opportunity, but maybe in destiny 2.
