The jumpship trophy is like 95%. The percentages I feel help shed light on the actual retention are (and this is by no means perfect, but its the most accurate we can figure):

Fully upgraded legendary - 25.5%
Fully upgraded exotic - 22.0%
Vaunguard rank 3 - 26%
Fully Upgraded subclass (mean across all) approx 18.3%
Crucible rank 1 - 27% (clearly PVP is NOT why a lot of people bought the game)

Subclass quest complete (mean average) - 15%
Court of Oryx quest complete - 13%
The Taken King Quest complete - 22%
That potentially means that the number of active players since TTK dropped has actually been well under 1M!!!!! This would drop the overall retention rate to under 10% in 1.5 years.

Daaaaaamn, the crycible percentage is terrible, considering that's what bungle thinks will carry their market share. Thanks for answering, away from my console for a couple of months. Not that I'm complaining, it's cheaper to rent a woman than a jetski in Thailand!
