Because that's not what happened. There was a report that a kid had a gun. Usually a toy guns tip is orange to let you know and other people know it's not lethal. Well for whatever reason they painted the tip black so it looked like a revolver from a distance. The kid pointed the gun at the cop and the cop shot and killed. He had the right to shoot and kill the kid. When the police rolled up the kid pulled the gun from his waist so there's no reason to be upset.

The kid did NOT react. The car pulled up, the cop got out and immediately fired. Dude did you not see the video? It was literally a drive by. Lets pretend the gun was real. As a cop he was supposed to access the situation first. Is this kid a threat? Is he about to harm anyone. Make yourself known, request that he drops his weapon, blah blah, there is a procedure to be followed.

Yes the kid did react. He went for his waist. The police did not know that there was a chance the gun was fake because the orange tip was not on it. When the police rolled up the kid went for his waist it doesn't matter if the kid was deemed a threat at all. The cops not just going to wait and see if the guns fake or if the kids a threat. The cop reacted in the right way and made the right call. I love when people are ignorant. Also there is no procedure when someone's reaching for a gun or something. It's deemed as an immediate threat. The procedure is to shoot.
