For this to go into full fruition; the first leader must be seen as unruly and a common enemy. They will then be killed by a "hero" to show the party is independent and powerful on their own. Then the hero will become the second leader, and will take up the position. I could fill that position... For the greater good and all that

Thats just it, i wouldnt do that lastt bit, i would just step down from power and have a test in place to determine the next successor.
