"God damn it Tara... Guess I'm gonna have to return the favor."
[b]he throws a makeshift blanket over her and waits to see if she'll wake up. [/b]

She eventually wakes. "Wha...?"

"Nightmares back, huh..." [b]he says almost as if he Already knew what had to be done[/b]

"Just hallucinations, the guy killed a lot of people I loved, and nearly did me in so..." Her face looks haggard.

"He did say he is alive though... I'm ready, better start cloning now."

She ignores him and mumbles. "He is dead."

"I hope so... I'm here for you Tara, tell me if he's still alive, I'll fight em, you know my predecessors sure loved to."

She smiles a little. "True."

"They died doing it... I intend to Aswell."

"He's dead I know he is."

"I don't believe you. I've been around you for the equivalent of twenty years in human time, I know when your lying."

"I desentigrated him twelve times and broke that stupid crystal into so many pieces I couldn't even see them all!"

"I still have one..." [b]he motions toward his chest[/b] "John hid it inside me before he died" [b]he laughs a bit[/b]

She grabs it. "Nononononononononono. One this big means-" She is cut off as the shard shatters.

[b]he falls to the ground, bleeding internally with a shard piercing his lung and one through his heart, he begins to die[/b] "THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW BEFORE I GET KILLED..."

She begins to heal him rapidly.

"Thanks... Are you okay?"

"I'll be fine and that wasn't me that shattered the crystal."

"[i]Im still alive, Tara....[/i]" [b] [/b]

"No!" She grabs the sides of her head.

"What? Tara. TARA! TARA IM STILL ALIVE." [b]he speaks like he's trying to wake someone up[/b]

She mumbles something inaudible.

[b]he looks confused[/b] "He's still alive isn't he, that's like a trigger phrase to you, ya know? Those weird sayings that trigger something in the brain and take over, basically. I AM STILL ALIVE!"

"I don't know anymore."

"You should just rest, after all of that... But I do have a question, you don't have to answer if it harms you that much, but what exactly did nightmare do to all of them?"

"Gutted them and strung their entrails..." She trails off.
