She is shaken by this statement. "I-I was..." She begins to cry. "I was to slow, N-Nighmare killed them all before I got there."

[b]he tries to remain calm, shaken by that statement and the horrors that come along with it[/b] "I'm... I'm sorry I wasn't there.... He would have killed me instead of them, and I would have been glad to take that apon myself, as Shepard and John had done before me." [b]he hugs her[/b]

She smiles sadly and shakes her head. "You three and your selflessness."

[b]he keeps hugging[/b] "What do you expect? Me to just sit there and watch people die? After everything I put you guys through I can't die for you? It's the least I can do, honestly."

"I never said it was a bad thing."

"You sure got pissed at John for it" [b]he laughs[/b]

She laughs too. "I did didn't I? Well, just promise you won't die if you don't have to."

"There is no such thing as dying without having to. You dis or you live Tara, and I intend for you to outlive me by at least 30-40 years..."

She gets a melancholy loom on her face. "But what about love? And staying with them forever."

"If I need to die to protect someone who loves another, I will, simple as that." [b]he obviously doesn't understand what you mean[/b]

"Hmmm... This depends, by who. If we're talkin like a Matthew Santoro situation, nah I'll die. If I'm talkin some other something, than I dunno."
