Monsanto isn't really a great company, but GMOs are hardly the end of the world.

 • The problem with GMOs is that it's usually not GMOs that are the problem. I've learned a good bit about this at school, and it's the pesticides and herbicides that get sprayed on plants that are the problem. So if a GMO is modified to make better use of the water it receives, that in no way will ever effect you when you eat it. It is the chemicals that get sprayed on some GMOs that you eat that is harmful to you.

 • Keep saying that until you get cancer from eating too much sweet corn. Then we'll see who is laughing.

 • Actually, I'll get cancer from eating too much meat, as meat has also been found to be "carcinogenic". I'll take my chances.

 • That's because the meat you're being fed, was also being fed chemical and GMO induced corn.

 •
Meat consists of multiple components, such as haem iron. Meat can also contain chemicals that form during meat processing or cooking. For instance, carcinogenic chemicals that form during meat processing include N-nitroso compounds and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Cooking of red meat or processed meat also produces heterocyclic aromatic amines as well as other chemicals including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which are also found in other foods and in air pollution. Some of these chemicals are known or suspected carcinogens, but despite this knowledge it is not yet fully understood how cancer risk is increased by red meat or processed meat.
I see no mention of GMO corn in there...

 • "Processed meat" another term for meat that has been contaminated with GMO and other chemicals. And yeah, basically anyway you could cook meat is bad for you, so no matter what meat is going to be unhealthy.

 • When are you gonna realize that GMOS and chemicals are different?

 • "Processed meat", another term for
meat that has been transformed through salting, curing, fermentation, smoking, or other processes to enhance flavour or improve preservation.
In other words, not necessarily GMO fed meat. You're really reaching there. I'm not actually sure what you're going for now, seeing as your original response to my comment was something you pulled out of your ass.

 • Alright man keep eating your processed GMO fed meat I'm just trying to tell you that you're gonna die from it. You realize that all that processed meat is still contaminated with ridiculous amounts of chemicals and GMOs? Just because the definition of "processed meat" doesn't say GMO in it, doesn't mean it's not in there.

 • I wouldn't say they're the end of the world either but they certainly aren't a good thing

 • Not always. GMO is not automatically synonymous with harmful.
