Open world is abit to much in the Destiny universe imo, but I can totaly see your point. I'd rather have the many landing zones with separate "mini" open world(s). I think the planet screen and the whole traveling around will be completely overhauled for Destiny 2. Iam afraid tho that expectations should be set to low if its gonna be for old gen too.
When it comes to No Mans Sky I would also keep the hype rather low... I can see myself having fun with exploring, but so far all ive seen were promises and EXTREMELY oversaturated and to colorfull planets. That game seems to me like a farmers heaven and I hardly can see pvp focused players play it at all. For me it seemed like all the gameplays they shown were the friggin same planet types, clunky gunplay, cringeworthy enemies and very repetitive. Go farm that mineral, go kick that creature and name it, hit a slime monster and 20 000 robots start to pew pew pew at you. I need more...

Yeah, I don't want to get too hyped but idk if I can help it at this point.

I was the same a year ago, but the more gameplay I saw, the more Iam losing the hype. And I think thats good imo. IF you hype up a game to much then it never can satisfy You. I hope the trading/crafting system can save the complete absence of PVP. I pray to god that it wont be like Elite Dangerous plantery mineral farming where you literally hop from planet to planet digging into stones so you can proceed to the next planet and reapeate the same into infinity...

If it was that way I would not want it at all. lol
