Nightfall amendment - Better rewards for greater risks?

This was suggested back in Y1 but maybe it's time to reintroduce the idea. At this point, a lot of people seem to like the Nightfall, but not the rewards system in place. Remember how the Heroic Strikes were graded for greater rewards? Why not have graded Nightfalls? Imagine a level 310/320 nightfall with the nightfall modifier? Just how many people could lay claim to completing that? Need to prove it? Easy, bring the flames back! So how could it work? For example, you could have levels 280, 300 and 320 nightfalls, each with their own colour flames. The rewards would be tailored to the level run. As with the heroic weekly, by running the highest level first, you would accrue all the awards in one go (I did like the way this worked). This would allow players of a greater range of abilities and light levels to take part and it still be relevant. With respect to rewards, why not have different coloured flames as an indication that you have completed a particular level? Make them a timed consumable (resetting upon the weekly reset) earned upon completion so players can choose which one to use. Players are then given the choice of their favourite colour to use, or just use it for bragging rights. Up to them. The actual rewards would be tailored to the level of Nightfall. Upon completion of a 320 Nightfall, a guaranteed reward of between 310 and 320 is awarded. No one can complain at this as even the raid can't lay claim to this without completing the weekly challenge. The lower levels could be similar but include a wider range of rewards. At a 280 level, I would argue to not change it that much. Why not have Nightfall exclusive kit? Nightfall perks on weapons/armour have never been there but there is precedent for these kinds of perks. I'm not suggesting adding elemental damage to primaries though, that is definitely a reward for Raid kit. Maybe flames that appear over the weapon upon completion of a Nightfall in a given week, but then extinguish upon the weekly reset. This gives players another reason - assuming they like the look of flaming weapons of course - to complete the Nightfall each week. As I mentioned above, I would suggest reinserting the Nightfall modifier, but also to amendment the burn modifier back to Y1 levels, so the players do x3 damage to enemies in the same way enemies do x3 damage to players. As contentious a subject as it may be, why not insert elemental damage into the raid primaries again? Maybe only for the Harrowed level kit, which then makes the hard raid more attractive - and potentially necessary for players wanting to take part in a 320 level Nightfall. This essentially makes the two PvE endgame activities symbiotic. To me this is a simple answer, catering for many (most?) players in one logical step. I appreciate it may not be easy at a programming level, but surely it would make many players happy? Is not most of this is already available in the code somehow as it has been used elsewhere in the game at some point? It makes the Nightfall available to aspiring players, allows players to play at their comfort level, but also allows players to challenge themselves by playing at a level higher than their current light level. It also reasserts the Nightfall as an Endgame activity without trying to topple the Kings Fall Raid as the pinnacle. Obviously, as the person proposing it, I naturally think it's a good idea, even if it's not perfect. But what about other players? I posted this in another post and, apart from one dissenter, the feedback was extremely positive. What about everyone else?
