Farewell and Adieu Imperial Base, Helios Ginger continued to push Freddy through the halls, slowed down by the human but resolved not to abandon him. Still, he could sense danger on all sides, and that was a feeling that he could not abide. In an instant, Federation Stormtroopers sprung out from behind cover up ahead, and began to fire at the two. Hallwinter wrapped himself around Freddy to protect him from the fire, and got behind cover himself. Neither of them were armed, but Hallwinter knew that he'd be able to inflict damage at close range nonetheless. He rushed forwards and slammed his shoulder into the first Fed soldier, crushing his ribcage easily, and then grabbed him and threw him at two other soldiers before he hit the ground. One opened fire at him, but he dodges most of the shots, and slams him with a backwards strike with his forearm, rendering him unconscious. Only one soldier was left after this... Hallwinter had lived a long life, and he had seen both wonders and horrors. He had lived a life in service to most everything, in his time, whether it was a ruler, or a concept, an ideal greater than itself. Not all of it had been admirable, or even benign, but he had always worked for the greater good. He had the gift (or perhaps it was a curse?) of watching his friends fight alongside him, die, and then return to life once more, as all warriors deserved to. But there would never be a return for him; never would the Galaxy see his face again. This is what went through his mind as his vision turned to black, and Phaedrus' sword melted his organs, his muscles and bones, and boiled his golden blood. (Open to Freddy, Silver, and BJ only)

Phaedrus' moment of victory gave the Courier just enough time. The 800 pounds of metal and weaponry slammed straight into Phaedrus' back, not only hitting him with immense force, but delivering an electric shock capable of overloading a city's grid. Few times was Wilson ever truly enraged, but it had happened. He hadn't been off his chain fully since June's appearance, and in that fury, he'd managed to kill Cobalt Phoenix with his own blade. Phaedrus was tough, and he expected no less, but he would not let a friend die for nothing. Atop Phaedrus, Wilson went into overdrive, his armor pumping him full of psycho. For once, he was silent, not even screams came forth from him. The energy blade in his wrist gauntlet had extended, and he made it his goal to make sure the man before him would not get up. Swinging in, the blade cut at the molecular level, easing through Phaedrus' armor, as Wilson made an attempt to cut off the hand with his sword, his other hand wrapped around the man's throat. Wolf sat back and simply waited.

  • Phaedrus screams in pain as the blade buries itself in his arm to reveal... Wires? With his only working hand, he manipulates his sword hilt to his waist, and begins pummeling Wilson's kidney with his armored fist, the vibro-knuckles and his augmented strength shearing metal and denting bone with his savage blows. The hand attached to his throat bends him backwards slightly, and realizing that the only chance of victory is to stay conscious, he stops his pummeling to grab your hand by the wrist, and with surprising strength, bends it away from his throat, and pushes you backwards. With another grunt, he draws his sword and ignites the blade.

  • Backing off, the armored behemoth's Browning roars to life, sending armor-piercing .50 caliber shells at the man before him, aiming specifically for the hand with the blade. Wilson knew his Tesla shielding could most likely take it, but he didn't need to short it out so early into the fight. Standing his ground, he continues to let his machine gun do the talking as he draws his machete.

  • The heavy ceramic armor Phaedrus wears deflects most of the bullets that make it past his blade, which the unstable plasma core had made spit and splutter. He had raised it so that it almost bisected his body vertically, and the blade was burning so hot that it disintegrates any bullets that cross his path. Slowly, he makes his way towards you.

  • The machine gun had shifted as he walked, and Wilson was now firing directly at the unprotected part of Phaedrus' hand that was gripping the sword hilt. He remained in place, the sound of the weapon deafening. He didn't need to piece his armor, he needed to break the sword.

  • Realizing Wilson's strategy, Phaedrus decides to reveal the ace up his sleeve. The hilt itself was surprisingly sturdy, but it wouldn't be able to withstand a long onslaught, so he wraps his armored fist around the hilt in order to ensure its protection. Suddenly, Wilson is lifted slightly off his feet, and is pulled towards Phaedrus by an unseen force, directly towards his outstretched blade...

  • As he's pulled, he pulls his own dirty trick, dismounting the Browning and picking his feet up, swinging the 80-pound gun directly at Phaedrus' head, and sending all of his weight directly towards the arm with the sword, at high speed.

  •
This is gonna piss him off, lol. Rip Phaedrus
Phaedrus throws himself to the left, while simultaneously bringing his sword to bear in a diagonal slash. The blade barely missed Wilson's head, and reduces the barrel of the Browning to molten slag.

As Phaedrus moved left and off-balance to slash, Wilson slammed him hard from under his arm, and through a wall. He'd had the Browning broken before, hell, he had plenty to replace it, but he was not about to let that transgression go unpunished. Tossing what remained of the barrel, Wilson rammed his machete into the man's torso, and twisted. With his shielding still active, the electric power of his Tesla shielding was given a clear path into Phaedrus' body.

  • With a grimace under his mask, Phaedrus straddles the man with his legs and his useless arm, pinning him against his own body. With his right arm, he ignites the blade against Wilson's own lower abdomen, taking advantage of the fact that his shielding is down. Meanwhile, his armor conducted the electricity out of his body, thankfully, but without medical attention he would pass out from pain soon.

  • Much to Phaedrus' surprise, Wilson gave no reaction, except a laugh that would frighten even Jack Nicholson. Grabbing Phaedrus' hand, he pulled the blade further in, and slammed his head into Phaedrus', detonating his Tesla pulse at the same time. The blow was enough to shatter the man's faceplate, and the blast shorted nearly every electronic that Phaedrus had on him, including the sword. The blast ruptured his eardrums, and sent nearly three times the current into his body. All he heard was the laughter....

  • Phaedrus could feel his own vitals fading. It wasn't a surprising revelation, simply a frank fact presented to his subconscious. With a last surge of strength, he unwraps his legs from around the man and kicks him square in the chest, knocking him off his body. He drops the hilt of his sword, and rips the bloody machete from his body. He had no weapons, and using too much TK would surely sap what little reserves of strength that he had, which left one option: brute melee force. He rushes over to Wilson, using a small amount of TK to rip the shotgun away from him, and kicks him in the stomach where his sword impaled him, knocking him to the floor. Phaedrus puts his knees on his biceps to pin the man, and then repeatedly smashes the man in the mask with his metal fist, ignoring the pain the Tesla shielding is inflicting on his body. (One or two more posts, and he'll be unconscious)

  • Eventually, Wilson caught the man's fist, and crushed the robotics, twisting his hand and ripping it off. In his drug rush, he couldn't feel the pain. Using the piece of metal, he cracked Phaedrus square in the face several times, knocking him off as he stood up. Rearing back, his gauntlet energy blade ignited, and he slammed Phaedrus in the gut, and twisted the blade. He pulled the blade out, and picked up the Browning's receiver, and slammed him again in the side of the face.

  •
But he hit PHAEDRUS, not you. He's got a goal in mind, but if a fight is what you want, a fight is what you'll get.
From the shadows, the cloaked figure draws his blade, observing the other who was attempting to draw Wilson's attention. Don't waste your ammo. It ain't getting through his armor, and he's hellbent on killing Phaedrus. Besides, what do you care? He's a Fed.

  • The war isn't ending anytime soon. You ever study warfare, tactics in Vietnam in particular? The Feds are making the same mistake America did. Superior firepower is not always the key to a clean and quick victory.

"Perhaps then, since the Feds want both the Alliance and Empire gone, we can work together to fight them. After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, or is that no longer a saying in this galaxy? I doubt they can handle a war from two difficult fronts."-Quickblast *he lowers his scimitar

  • I'm not particular to one or the other, I have this bad habit of letting the sociopath direct me with information. My father and the man who's trying to kill Phaedrus were allies, and had ties to Hallwinter and the Empire. That's why he's over there going apeshit. You guys I know were the backing to the rebels, and thus a source of discord.

*Quickblast tilts his head "We are a source of freedom and justice. All we want is to stop the Federation from killing innocent people in mass genocides for not agreeing with their government. The Federation caused this rebellion to occur. Once they are gone, order will be restored. Sometimes you have to cause a bit of chaos to bring a long lasting and FAIR order."-Quickblast

And how do you condemn when you are interventionalist and imperialist in nature? Have not you yourself killed just as many in war and conquest?

"Soldiers, maybe. However, the Alliance has never, in its 1.9 billion year history, committed a genocide. Not even once. We have recorded the Federation commuting at least 2 within the past year alone. It is highly unlikely those are the only ones, given how they operate."-Quickblast

Can't say I believe it. Every great civilization has been built on the backs on the subjugated, slaughtered, and used, from Rome to the British Empire to the United States, everyone's got their history of dirty deeds and less than savory methods. Genocide's usually a big part of conquest and assimilation.
