That One Fireteam {Chapter 25, Crimson Days~! pt.1}

Hiya folks~! Well, it’s been a long time since I posted on my own turf isn’t it? A loooooong while… Might as well give you guys the load down. -Name Change! (Oh... THAT fireteam.... ->That One Fireteam) -Schedule, shmedule. I can't follow em, so just check back every week or so. -Pretty sure the collab w/ Management is done; we're still editors for each other's stories, but we will no longer be posting on the same post. Man, this is awkward. Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? Chapter 25 “Eheh…. sorry….” Ralph apologized, having lost them another round. “Can you just not suck for like, I don’t know, 10 minutes?” Zara spat through gritted teeth, throwing her ship into hyperdrive. “This is the tenth damn time I’ve had to carry you!” “I’m sorry! But…” You’re sexy when you’re killing things. He almost added. He had the image in his mind now; Zara, glowing black hair flowing off to one side as she aimed down the sights of the Red Death, red eyes focused on killing her enemi- “Ralph? Raaaaaalph?” Her voice came over the comms, followed by a frustrated sigh. “I swear, you’re so distracted these days. What happened to the badass falco-punch guy?” “What’s a falco punch?” He replied, confused. “Just… Just... Shut up and stop being terrible, alright?” 10… Minutes… Later…. Ralph slammed his head into this ship’s controls in frustration, as Zara left him and went to the Tower. “I. Suck. At. This. Game!” He yelled, also setting his ship’s coordinates to the tower. His ghost sighed. “Maybe if you would stop staring at her like a puppy to bacon, you could actually get on her good side.” Ralph glared at his ghost, then pulled out his tablet. “Let’s see….” he scrolled through the current weapon roster. “Hmmm…. If I’m awful…. I’ll just get a gun that is good for me!” He cackled as he selected a particular hand cannon. |==================| Zara walked briskly down a dark alley, leading to the slums of the last city. She turned to a metal, weather worn door and rapped three times. The door slowly opened, and an female Exo in a lab coat poked her head out, LED eyes narrowed. She saw Zara and immediately relaxed. “Oh, it’s just you.” The Exo muttered cheerfully, beckoning Zara inside. “Sup, Myra?” She greeted. Myroni-213 twitched, and her red eyes changed to a baby blue. “OMG it’s Deuce! How are you today? Can I get you some coffee? Tea? Soda? Anything to eat?” Zara tapped her chin thoughtfully. “Hmmm…. I’ll just have a cola with some pudding, thanks.” Myra immediately sprang up and shuffled around her kitchen, humming softly. “So, Myra… how would you feel about doing some Crimson Doubles with yours truly?” She asked, taking a sip of her freshly poured cola. Myra’s eyes switched back to red with a twitch, and her cheerful smile turned into a cold sneer. “Do we get to rip people apart?” The Exo asked, throwing on her black cloak and satchel. “Oh yes.” Zara confirmed, giggling maliciously. “As a matter of fact, I was hoping we could experiment with your new concoctions.” Myra grinned. “Well, they call me Poison Ivy for a reason.” Zara checked the crucible rankings. Crucible Rankings (Overall Skill) 1]Suzanne Yor “Deuce” 2]Rush Falzone “Deadeye” 3]Sunny Gangrene “Burnout” 4]Sasha Chu “Hothead” 5]Myroni-213 “Poison Ivy” Zara raised an eyebrow. “I see you’ve been busy.” And how the hell did Sasha get to 4th already? Son of a bitch… |================| Ralph watched as Zara exited the apartment. He had followed her here out of curiosity; Zara had a tendency to go to weird places, but the bad part of the Last City was a first. His jaw dropped slightly as another figure stepped out of the run-down apartment, and the two of them went to orbit. Warning sirens went off in his head. Wa-wait a second….does this mean… that she….. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. “Nope, nope, nope, that was just an acquaintance.” He muttered, blasting the lock of the door after making sure no one was watching. He looked around; it was just your average apartment. Not too small, not too large. His gaze lit on a black object on the coffee table, and he frowned. Could it be? He leaned over and picked it up, and he instantly felt a surge of dark power. He chuckled. “This will surely put me back on good terms with Zara.” He muttered, clipping the Thorn to his side. |=============| Part Two coming wheneva. Don't really know at this point. By the way, contructive criticism is appreciated, and yes, I already know I suck at writing.
