Firefly+Luck In the Chamber Still Not Fixed....Gonna get on that, Bungie?
So, like many players, I purchased The Vanity from FWC because the perks are pretty amazing and I wanted another hand cannon with Firefly. After fully upgrading it, my fiance and I were playing the strike playlist, and it crashed completely to the PS4 menu three times.
This has never happened to either of us before, so we started doing some digging to determine why. It wasn't long before I found the problem. Whenever Luck in the Chamber and Firefly stack on the same bullet, the world explodes and crashes the game of whatever poor sap happens to be looking at the time (cool guys don't look at explosions, I know, but I just can't help it). It even crashes the game of unsuspecting fireteam members.
And you know about this, Bungie. You've known for quite some time. You've personally replied to some of the many Reddit threads complaining about the issue (Cozmo "reported it to the team" three months ago). And instead of fixing it, you decide it's a swell idea to allow a vendor to keep selling it. This is a game-breaking bug that makes one of the best hand cannons in the game completely unusable.
I'd love to be able to use it before the next DLC completely invalidates this weapon, so can we please fix it already? :)

Yap it's glitched. I had 3 frozen screens in just under 30 mins. Luck in the chamber + firefly breaks the game. I'm on PS 4. If this gun gave silver you guys (Bungie) will hot fix it in a matter of hours. I understand it takes time but 3 months? C'mon guys you can do better.

3 RepliesWe were doing the golgoroth challenge this week and I accidentally made my friend's console freeze. All he saw were a bunch of thrall with one starting to explode! It was hilarious. Lame though we had to wipe. No Luck in the chamber just a scout with firefly did the trick.

I bet if it was glitched so that you got silver instead of crashing the game it would be patched in a few hours.

8 RepliesWe've gone through a similar issue with armor perks last year and the whole disappearing heavy ammo on respawns. That took a long time to fix because of how things interacted. Most likely they need to rewrite the entire damage calculation coding to fix the issue because of the cascading memory failure that results from those two perks interacting. That's likely millions of lines of code, and they have to make sure any fixes don't have unintended consequences elsewhere. That takes time. Until then, we know it is an issue, and the easy fix is to not use the one or two guns that have these perks together.

5 RepliesIts been waaaay too long. Either they cant figure out how to fix it, or dont think it is a big enough problem to fix it. Its not like it helps players... I bet if it caused an exotic engram to drop everytime it procced, it would be fixed within a day or disabled.

Just entered a Darkness Zone and shot a Dreg, it blew up, the Dreg next to it blew up, then the game blew up. BOOM! Was in the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Strike just after you run the orb to turn off the power.

Firefly crashing the game has been an issue since day 1 IIRC. 1 and a half years later, the issue is still in the game, however only when LITC procs at the same time. It's actually sad.

I used to get this a lot in the raid every time I entered the maze after the warpriest or exit it my PS3 would crash and this cuase 95% of the team to do the same but it only happened when I went though the maze and people stopped raiding with me cuase of it so I eventually switched to ps4 and it never happened again.

That happened to me while I was using hung jury during a nightfall. It was the darkblade and he was about to die but I got a head shot on a thrall and the firefly activated crashing my game
