The gun has a skill gap. Sweaty players don't miss shots. The average player sucks with thorn. Even with the 3 body shot kill, the average player takes 5-6 from what I've seen.
It's a weird gun you have to use a lot to get good with the recoil.

I think you may be stretching the term skill gap here. Missing a shot when you can hit them anywhere with the amount of range and aim assist (which does give bigger hit boxes with non-sniper weapons) is a reflection of a truly unskilled FPS player. The average play is really bad but i would still think a sweaty would want to not cheapen their skills by using such a forgiving weapon.
