"Things tend to happen when you're drunk, like crashing into another ship."

"Sounds severe. And I assume you haven't touched alcohol since?"

"You would be wrong there, I keep some turian brandy up in my quarters."

"Ah, you know your liquor. Say, are you need of another crew member? Since leaving the military, I've been doing all sorts of jobs but I would like to get back on board a ship."

"Sure, I don't mind. Our crew is varied, it will be nice to have someone else help me eat the dextro amino food."

He chuckled. "Are you asking me out on a date already, captain?"

"You'll have to show me that you're worth it."

"If it's nothing, you don't mind if I read it? Reading a good book is a hobby of mine." His hand went to the book, but he didn't pick it up yet.
