Really? Video games making people (or kids) violent. Is the next post going to say "Guns kill people" too?

Sometimes. Usually it's the bullet entering a body at speed that does it though.
-
Guns don't kill people. It's people using guns to kill.

Obviously any time someone uses a tool to kill someone, a person used the tool to kill someone. Guns don't kill people, people use guns to kill people sounds quite stupid to me. Are you telling me that it's not the bullet that kills someone? But that it's the person who pulled the trigger that killed them? If so that's crazy. Pretty sure surgeons don't take people out of bullet wounds.

Edited by Boozbreth Baba: 2/9/2016 1:00:02 AMIs the tool used for con - struction or is it a " tool" of de- struction. Simplification doesn't always simplify if the context is changed. Then it simply becomes a rethorical tool. Popular in politics. The context in the weapons discussion is about killing, not the misuse of a screwdriver

Edited by Eel SR7: 2/9/2016 1:04:30 AMWell if a tool is used for killing or in a manner as to cause harm to another, it's always a tool of destruction, I would think. I have never seen a gun that's made for anything but firing a projectile, same goes for a screwdriver, they're made for a purpose in mind. Ultimately I think it comes down to the reason why guns were invented, and that's to kill people. Guns do kill people. That's why they are still around. It's why bows got phased out of the military. Because guns kill people a lot better than anything else.

Making them a tool for murder

Could they be "misused", so they wouldn't work only to kill, but to benefit? Like, to actually construct?
