Since their alienation from the Inner Federation, what remained of the GF forces stationed in the Outer Rim now called themselves the Federal Army of the Rim (FAR), and took full advantage of the martial law decreed in their region. On hostile planets, incognito FAR journalists filmed the ineffective Rebel governments attempting to control the wave of looting, r[i]a[/i]ping, and violence that had begun to spread across the Rim. Meanwhile, Federation warships pushed into Rebellion territory, only governed by their own morals and laws. Though actual criminal acts were rare, war violence was pandemic, and many condemned cities were bombed from Orbit to eradicate the Rebel presence. Meanwhile, Phaedrus, now one of the senior Federation officers, had promoted Major Pavel of the Seventh Fleet as Colonel in his stead, and left on a personal hunt. For rumors had spread, of an Ancient Empire rising once more, and of a soldier that Phaedrus so desperately sought for. He had known Matthew Hallwinter once, even trusted him.
