I agree 100% here. I said myself numerous times that there was no reason to nerf G-horn, and that there was no such thing as something being overpowered in PvE. If players don't want to use a specific weapon in PvE they don't have to, and since they don't have to compete against other guardians in PvE they don't have to worry about anybody using it against them. The point with cosmetics is also infuriatingly true. I've always been able to use my old Iron Banner bond/cloak/mark for each new Iron Banner, but this time around it actually made a difference as far as level, and for some reason my specific Iron Banner bond only has 30 -blam!-ing light. There's absolutely no reason for it to be so low, and absolutely no reason for it to have to STAY that low.

 •
There's absolutely no reason for it to be so low, and absolutely no reason for it to have to STAY that low.
Couldn't agree more, man. Seriously, even if Y1 gear did need to be left behind for the sake of balance (which is nonsense, but let's just pretend, for a moment), there still isn't a single, goddam reason that Class Items shouldn't carry forward; none, whatsoever. Now, there's literally almost nothing left to show for any of the effort players put into Y1, to the point where virtually every single player would've been better never playing Y1 to begin with. What next? Light levels on shaders? On sparrows? Ships? Emotes? Utterly asinine. -_-

Class items now have stats AND perks, while Year 1 items do absolutely nothing other than provide defense. For all their concern about power creep they've actually gone and guaranteed that certain new gear, like ghosts and class items, are stronger than their Year 1 counterparts. I'm also hating that there are no elemental primaries for this raid. Apparently they were worried that there wasn't enough variety in the weapons before, so they went and A) dropped every existing weapon as a viable option; B) eliminated an entire variety of weapons, those with elemental damage; and C), FOR THE SAKE OF VARIETY, made it so that there's exactly one primary weapon you can use that deals elemental damage.

It's things like that, to me, prove that none of the nonsense they pulled in TTK was ever about "balance;" it is, and always was, simply about forcing players to play their way. I mean, I would say it's about money, but even that doesn't make sense, because even if Y1 was included in the Infusion system, players would still need to buy the new DLC TO get the new gear with which to upgrade the old stuff! >.<
