Explosions go off around him, the noise deafening , the concussive force massive. Wolf continued to watch from his post.

  • The man continues spraying until the rifle runs out of shells. He reloads it, and slings it. After another few minutes of what is probably him self-debating a solution, the loudspeakers of the suit kick on, and he speaks over the now quiet canyon. 'Hey, i know someone's out here damn it, I'd like to know what the hell is going on here. All i did was organize a deal to aid some rebels in exchange for a possible trade alliance when or if they win!'

  • A voice cuts into his comms, untraceable. It is calm, American, metallic. Those suits you got there, that's something that certain people don't like you handing over to insurgents. Can't just let you hand them heavy armor, that's bad business. You really think your investment's gonna pay you back when the Feds could triple it up front, no questions asked? We both know throughout history chaos has always and will always be bad for business.

  • 'Chaos it may be, but it appears to me that the Rebels just want to live their own way, and the Feds won't allow it. I'll be damned if someone is gonna punish me for supporting something i think is ok. It doesn't really matter anyways, the first shipment is gone already, and there are other, bigger factories than this.'

  • Well thank you for the information. Maybe I'll drag you back alive so you can have that little chat with them. Anyways, I'm here more for you, alive, dead, or somewhere in between.

  • 'They won't get anything out of me, if you actually know as much as i think you do, you know there's no point. After going through Pandora, there's not shit in this universe that I'm afeared of.' The man scans around again, the titanium canopy not revealing what exactly he is looking at. 'I imagined you were here for that. Won't do you much good, the deal has already been made. The Mar Saran government is dedicated to arming those it sees as being agreeable, I'm just the messenger.'

  • I'm getting paid either way. Doesn't much matter to me. They're serving my purpose far more than I'm serving theirs. Can't exactly say anyone else has shown any usefulness.

  • 'Well, in case you're thinking it, don't. That group of businessmen that were here are the plants owners, they had me here to check the quality of their product. Doesn't much matter to me now.' The man faces back towards the facility. 'Now, I'm going to try to dig these civilians out of here, kill me or don't, I don't care. I'm going to do what i think is right.' The man starts walking back towards the destroyed facility.

  • Before him on the ground, the figure stands, sword in hand, in his full combat gear. His cloak blows behind him in the wind, and his suit bears the scars of many a fight, however, the mask stands out. Like the armor, it is solid black, except for three white slashes across the left side of his face. On the right side, the words "FORGIVE ME MAMA" were carved into the metal. Well I'm afraid I can't just let you run off for the collateral. You're coming with me, be it in a bag or otherwise.

  • 'You've got time, they don't. Get the hell out of my way and let your employer know that I'll be by to see them as soon as i fix the problem they caused here.' The suit remains still.

  • Well I can't say that's the answer I was looking for. He holsters the sword, and pulls his rifle from his back, a SCAR-H, once belonging to his father. Reaching for a magazine on his bandolier, he loaded the rifle and locked the bolt. Can't say you've got much ground to negotiate on, either.

  • 'You must not either, considering you're hoping rifle rounds will go through an inch and a half of titanium plating.' The man taps the suits arm against the armored canopy, and grabs the rifle off of its back, loading a box of shells into it.

Oh believe me, I've got plenty. He simply stands in front of the suit, rifle in his hand, simply waiting.

  • The suit remains still for a moment longer, before it starts to raise its rifle. Before he can fully raise the rifle, however, he changes his mind, and starts walking towards the factory, intending to walk right over the man if he didn't move out of the way first.

  • The figure disappears, then reappears holding onto the top of the suit on it's back. Rearing back with his right hand, he punches the machine, and his hydraulic gauntlet blade springs forth, punching through the armor, the blades inches to the right of your head. Utilizing his energy shield's pulsing capabilities, he overloads it, and a deep WHHHHHHRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM fills the air as sparks fly from his suit and the blades, which channel the electricity and energy into the suit's cockpit and controls, enough energy to fry a substation completely.

  • A loud clanking noise is issued from the suit, and a set of decouplers blasts the titanium canopy off and away from them. The suit stays still and dead, and the man draws his sidearm, firing it over his back as he uses his free arm to open auxiliary circuits and batteries. While it wouldn't restore full functionality, it would restore enough power to move the suit itself, and in that moment, that was all that was required.

With his free hand, he draws his sword and swings it forwards, the superheated trytritium edge cutting through the metal and some of the controls. The bullets do little to the figure, pinging off of his chestplate. Dislodging his blades, he jumped from the rear of the machine, after placing another explosive onto the rear. Rolling away, he detonated it.

  • The moment before the assailant can detonate his explosives, the suit explodes on its own, the man having cut his harness and jumped free of the damaged suit. The man stays down, and grabs his rifle out of the field bag he grabbed when he abandoned the suit.

Appearing before the man, the figure's armor bears soot and ash; smoke wisps drift off of it. He was obviously caught in the explosion, but did not seem to have taken much damage. His sword was still in his hand, blade glowing a vibrant blue. His stride was deliberate, a terrifying calm as he approached. You've still got a chance to come willingly, but this is the last chance you get. Seeing as you've got a gun in your hand, I don't see you as taking that chance.

  • 'Says the one who wanted to start shit with a guy who had no problem going as long as he was able to handle prior business.' The man stands up slowly, drops his rifle, and starts walking off towards the factory. 'You had to get in the way, when all you had to do was step aside and let me do my goddamn job. Guess there's no goddamn code amongst Contractors anymore. Either shoot me in the back right now, or stay out of the damn way until I've done what I've been trying to do.' The man yells back over his shoulder, carrying on.

  • Within seconds, four shots rang out, and in the hand of the mercenary was a .44 magnum, a Smith and Wesson Model 629 with a spade engraved on the grip. Three shots to the back right at the spine, one at the back of the head. As you wish.

  • The shots all connect, and the last to hit issues a ping as it goes through the back of the mans helmet. The man falls over, bleeding a moderate amount from each shot, and lies deathly still. The factory continues burning, as the AMP fuel storage catches fire, and the occasional 30mm round cooks off in the rubble. After another minute or so, several hazardous emergency crews from a nearby city arrive in a small transport, and head towards the burning facility.

  • Holstering his gun and sheathing his sword, he walked to the corpse, and searched the mans corpse, the snapped a photograph with his HUD for confirmation of the kill. On the ground beside him, the man left a small note before disappearing. Who's your Judas?
