Why do people smoke?
Never understood this. Do people smoke cigarettes and cigars? You gain absolutely nothing from it. At least weed has medical purposes, but there is absolutely no gain from smoking cigarettes.
There are plenty of downsides; cancer, lung problems, heart disease, yellowing teeth, faster aging to name a few.
To all of those who say, "you only live once" or something to that effect, there are plenty of short term stuff. Smelling like shit, tastes like shit, everything you own will smell like shit, [i]you [/i]will taste bad (nobody wants to kiss a smoker), it costs a shitload of money, and it is a habit that controls your life. Not to mention dying of a smoking related disease is one of the most painful ways to die. Lung cancer, throat cancer, and emphysema are some of the worst ways to go. It is painful for both you and your loved ones, who get to watch you wither away.
We all have our vices, but you can't run off smoke. You can't have lung cancer cured. You only hurt yourself and those you love. Do as you wish but take your friends and family into account when you do.

Have you ever been a smoker? Going to guess no. Most start at early age while still thinking they are invincible , and believing they can quit when they want. For those that have been smoking for a long time , it is hard to quit. Harder for some than for others.

Why do people become obese? Why do people become alcoholic's? Why do people become nymphomaniacs? Why do people kill out of sheer joy? Why do people become vegans? Why do people become homosexual? It's human nature man, honestly. You don't know what people have been through or have seen in their life. Smoking is no different, just because you haven't chose to smoke doesn't mean you should question others choices. [i]-ATullo[/i]
