Can't even get behind 3. I hate to be so "black vs white" but then again, I'm not exactly going to ever choose to be a templar. You like that, go buy Rogue.
And those long instances with no fighting? That's called character development. I liked being with Connor since he was a child. Starting as his dad and realizing he was a Templar was a great way to start the game. Ezio without chasing girls wouldn't be Ezio. Him doing that has lead to quite a few situations he's had to stab his way out of.
And the first game was absolute garbage. Absolute. Just radiant killing missions and bad mechanics.

The First game is actual true to its franchise, the content sucked by everything else was immersive... Long horse ride, an Actual Brotherhood presence, no armour, the hidden blade wasn't meant to be used in combat it's too fragile, that short blade on the back, enemies would literally follow you for a long time. The book is obviously a better story then the game but the game was heavily immersive.

Because it had little else to fall back on. It. Was. Bad. I am a fan. Not all assassination instances are action filled. Some would take place in a theater, maybe during a sermon. Through different means, like poison or use of the environment.. strangulation? Dunno. The series as a whole is quite immersive and rich with details, no doubt. Doesn't mean the games are good lol. Black Flag was an amazing pirate game, for example. After 3, it has slowly declined.. although I am a fan of Unity.

There was only 1 assassination in a theatre and it was technically a long intro into the game...

That's my point. Need more covert things like that, not running around a city buying property to get better weapons.
