My cousins and I usually play together, especially in the various events. Previously we would always have good bordering on great connections and rarely had problems. Since the new "lag fix" all three of us have had absolutely abysmal connections. I will switch between green, yellow and red on a whim and regardless of the current color of the virtual stop light I see more holograms charging blindly forward than I ever did in Halo, only to have my frustrated fists paw ineffectually at the afterimage trailing my foes when suddenly he's behind me with a shotgun and I'm quite dead. And of course it has to be on a playset in which targeting an individual player matters immensely. Oh the enemy has the spark you say? Wait the enemy is already nearing the rift? No he's scored?!! In 5 seconds?? Faster than I can fail to grab the spark and respawn he has scored?? I think not dear Destiny. Oh but the times when I manage to get the spark have made it all worth it. The thrill of strolling leisurely through a horde of enemies armed with rockets and hammers to ignite that rift untouched and invisible with all the stealth and agility inherent in the Voidwalker's skill set. But wait! You've reached 8000+ points? You just got the spark and are going for an even 10k? Ohh sorry. We're contacting Destiny's servers, don't forget to check the error code Baboon you filthy monkey. Have a black screen on the house. We'll give you about a minute to sit in agony and wonder if you will be booted or not. Yay! Fortune has smiled upon me! In still in the ga- what?? Why do I have 0 points?? What is this madness??!! All my suffering has been for naught!! Curse you ever elusive 2500 points and a win. I'll catch you one day!! Of course the above scenario assumes that after your relaxed walk into enemy territory the rift will actually accept your gift of a nice juicy spark and not stonily ignore your tender entreaties whilst they turn to screams of agony quickly culminating in the the brutal silence death as the entire hostile force you had bypassed suddenly knows where you are, what you're doing and what you had for breakfast that morning. My poor cousin attempted to get his Banner on and every single time ships started heading towards the battlegrounds he was banished to the start screen and forced to load everything again. To summarize, I don't know what it is you've done to fix lag problems Bungie, but whatever it is let it be undone (or refixed, I'm ok with that too.) -sincerely, a kinda sorta Destiny fan............
