it's inly gotten worse because they introduced this new, totally unnecessary, bullshit light system
not only do you have to be a certain LEVEL, you also have to be a certain light level?
what is this bullshit?
that's the problem
you thought #forever29 was bad, how about MICRO-leveling?
in the end your light level doesn't matter too much anyway, I feel bad for anyone who still believes in this crap, and grinds for a perfect 320 piece
in real MMO's your level and level of your gear actually matter, they don't have secondary level bullshit Bungie introduced in TTK

nope nope nope WoW, ESO, other MMO's have your character level = gear level no BS luck factor has to deal with actual RNG drop, which in most loot based games sucks anyway, because people are going after particular piece and if it doesn't drop they get mad

What I'm saying is that light level is effectivly gear rating. In year 1 light level = character level. In WoW swtor etc, you can have 2 max level characters of vastly different strengths because the gear levels are different. Destiny is now that way because light determines your ability to perform in content (much like gear rating) rather than being level 40. Destiny's system is worse in that instead of having a chance to drop a certain piece of loot, the bosses have a chance to drop nothing, then a chance to drop useless perks, then a chance to drop useless light level. Its effectivly 4 different rolls of rng to actually get an upgrade rather than the 2 or so of other MMOs. With destiny's system it would be like getting a heroic drop in another MMO that has the gear rating for normal content. I never played WoW much but I played a lot of SWTOR, it was annoying to get nothing, but at least I knew when I did get it it would be useful lol.
