No Days Off Outer Rim Rebellion base Backbreaker-Exact Planet is unknown "Here. Here is where it began." Your vision is black, covered by a black bandana. There's movement all around you, scary, yet you knew what was happening. That voice...it was deep, but not too deep, serious but joking, sad yet hopeful. A man's voice, he obviously had experience. "This is where you will throw away your citizenship, your freedom, all to get it back." The ship you were on had cold, hard seats, but it was moving and not being shot down....always a plus. There's murmuring around, next to you. Talk of who's speaking spread throughout your transport. Whispers say names like General Armharst and Commander Hiss, both legendary names in the Rebellion. The ORR. People said joining was a suicide wish. A death sentence. They were somewhat right. The sergeants were cruel, the Feds were well armed. It would not be an easy win. If they won. "This is ORR Training base Backbreaker, your home for the next three months." The ship stops moving, loud talking outside. The ship suddenly began to heat up like pure fire. It was warm, dry and windy. Possibly a desert planet. Whoever was speaking stepped off their podium and walked around the ship as he spoke, your eyes still covered. "Today, you will be listed into the archives, where I once was, where Hiss once was, Hell, even Armharst. They all started here." He stopped in front of you, setting a hand on your head. His hand was massive, but covered in a cloth that covered his palm, most likely wrapping his hand. "Right now, you are all blind, weak and worthless to me. This will change. You will become soldiers. Damn fine ones at that. If you get shot, shoot them a hundred times over. If you are killed, your brothers and sisters in arms will drown your killer in lead and plasma so that he may never see light again." The hand shifted, gripping the blindfold. "But enough about what you will do. Do it." He grabs the blindfold, ripping it off your head. You see a man towering over you. There was a sniper on his back. Details were fuzzy, as your eyes were still adjusting to the light. It was bright, blinding almost. The cargo door for the transport had been dropped, revealing sandy dunes and warm weather outside. Others around you have the blindfolds removed, looking around and shaking their heads to get their senses back. The gasp in awe at the man that spoke. He stood over you, looking down. "Look at me, recruit." You follow the order with utter compliance, looking up at him. He had a skeleton mask over the back of his head, giving instant recognition as the leader of the ORR. Spectre. The legend. The myth. In the flesh. "You'll make a fine soldier." He turned away and started walking down the aisles of the transport. "As will you, and you. All of you will." Cuffs holding you to your seat are released from your shins and wrists. "Be fast to your gun, soldiers. It is your best friend, and it will always be there." He walked passed you, getting out into the open of the base. Spectre raised his arms. "Welcome to Backbreaker. Stay cool, recruits, it gets rather...heated here." He smiles as you and your team of about thirty recruits walk out of the transport. It takes off, leaving you on this desert planet, alone, yet surrounded. .......................................................................... It was dark outside, cold too. The sweat only made it worse. You had been archived, moved in and eaten. Thinking about how bad it will be tomorrow, when you workout for the first time, you step outside, the tan camouflage sweatshirt and painted jeans attempting to keep you warm. You see Spectre looking out over a dune, a bottle in his hand. He had no weapons on him, that you saw. You step up next to him and he speaks. "Ya know, I hate guns. Hate fighting too. But it's my job." He smiles as he stares out at the dunes, taking a swig from the whiskey bottle every once in a while. He had a short, 6 o'clock shave, bloodshot eyes and dark hair. His mask was still covering his head, pointless looking but it could keep heat in. "Soldier, I want you to know, I personally removed your blindfold for a reason. You're special. I saw your training scores and I'm impressed. However, you haven't shot at a target yet. That will change. Tomorrow." He stood there, still staring at the dunes, holding a half empty bottle of whiskey at his side.
Open, this is the Rebellion, if you're looking to join the Feds, talk to Ginger (FN 2187). The Alliance is SilverPulse620. If you're new to the thread, come here. This is the simplest of the factions in this civil war. Have fun!
• He chuckles. "Well, it'll be lead by me, so, elite soldiers, higher grade weapons, probably a few suicide missions."

 • "Don't take it like that, take it more as...a freedom. Instant promotions and more kills." He smiles in return, an attempt to counter her darker expression.

 • Her expression falters and brightens for a moment, but quickly darkens once more, she was obviously remembering something she didn't want to. Her blue eyes flicker red for a instant, it was barely noticeable. "Yeah.....sure."

 • She sighs heavily. "I was 16, both my parents 40, and my little brother, Jason, 9. I lived on a little planet on the outer rim, I could never pronounce the name. I lived in a decent house, did my chores, and really the only thing I did besides eating, sleeping, and working was just staring off into space. It wasn't as boring as it sounds, trust me. One day, like any other day, I got up, ate my breakfast, talked etc etc. So I went outside to smell the fresh air, and see our Sun and smile. Only the air was clammy, arid, and their was no Sun, their was only the Federation. Their hulking warships blotting out the sun. Soldiers started pouring in, killing everyone, burning down houses. My father pulled me in our house, and just as we locked the door, a mortar shell collapsed our building. It didn't explode, only sat their. Our roof and floor were gone. And all four of us, me, my parents and my brother were trapped beneath the rubble. And the word that I saw the entire time, Federation. We moved every once and a while, shifting the bricks, moving the rubble. And I'm thinking, "This is going to set it off.". We wait, for three days, for the Federation to kill us, but it never came. And then, someone came to our door. We were desperate, naive, and thought of it as a savior, but it was them. They took my brother out of my arms, my parents with them. But I never got why they didn't take me. I screamed, they screamed, we caused a ruckus apparently. They shoot all of them at the same time in the head with handguns. Their blood spattered on my face. I was in shock. I fell to my knees. And I screamed. And screamed. And screamed. And screamed. Then I open my eyes and nothing's left but ash. I killed everything on the planet and in the atmosphere. So, I found a ship, and drifted across the galaxy. And then I joined the Rebellion." Her voice faltered on the last few words as she started to cry. She hugged herself for a moment. She then yelled as she shot out her hand and her eyes blazed red as a bolt of red energy emerged from her hand and struck the sandy surface about 20 feet in front of you. The remaining is smoldering glass. "And that is why, I want I slowly kill every single Federation soldier out their. I want them to fell my pain. And suffer."

 • He seems humbled, saddened maybe, by the story. He had been through something similar. "It's going to happen. The Feds are going to fall, one way or another. I just hope we can do it, not some political bastard."
