Any other solos out there actually enjoying iron rift
So I booted up destiny an hopped on into what I thought was gonna be lag spawn kill fest 2016. And other then a few rough matches I've been blown away by how much fun I've been having. Haven't been running a good kd, but I've been just annoying the hell out of the other team with shade step and my iron wreath. And it's been a blast. So color me surprised bungie good job this time

So far I have played solo, in teams of 2-3 and 4-6. After 47 matches the mercy rule has been applied 8 times as follows: 13870 - 420 12995 - 1370 13540 - 3480 13320 - 1600 4155 - 12250 1200 - 12025 13920 - 3380 3360 - 12495 I have a worst match of 1 kill (low skill and lots of lag) whilst in a team of 3 and a best of 21 kills whilst playing solo (no lag). The lag has varied from very little to terrible. Playing earlier today I noticed the matches were closer with several with a margin of less than 1000 points. Playing against teams of 5 or 6 is extremely difficult but very satisfying if you can win. I am one win away from rank 4 with loot drops of 2 x scouts and 3 x boots.

Idk I think bungie is promoting pubstomping.... I don't see any way that 6 randos could get matched to a 6 man premade team so many matches in a row. Still managing to have fun here and there though.

I'm enjoying it, not sure what so many people are complaining about. Haven't been running a good K/D ratio either, but I'm simply not good at this game. I usually average between 1 and 2, doesn't matter what the game mode is. I always do Iron banner solo because I play better when I don't have my friends talking in my ears and I can focus. I'm a terrible friend, I know. XD

I've had some fun bits, but my win/loss ratio is appalling. I think that the issue with coordinated fireteams that I heard about is probably truer than I'd like to believe.

I played roughly 7 games with a fireteam and then the rest (which is a sickening amount) by myself. Got matched up against fireteams damn near every game. By far more than any IB yet. Also joined so many games in progress and found it hard as heck to get bounties done because before I would even land in the match it would end or my team never having the lead and getting those kills with the lead for the bounty was impossible for awhile.

Yes. I got a game where I slaughtered. Got 6 kills with the Rift and kept that streak going for a little. Ended with 26 kills, 3 carries, and 1 rift ignited (backwards)

To be honest, this IB has made me want to take a good, long break from Destiny all together. It just burned me out. I don't PvP much at all but I hit Rank 5 last IB and it was a fun experience. This one, not so much. I should hit Rank 3 tomorrow after the daily bounties, then I'm done until Monday to turn in my Weeklies which will bump me to 5. It's going to be a long time before I bother with IB again. Just really turned me off it. Last time I kept playing so I had 2 weeklies saved up but I don't even care to save them this time.

Loving it so far. I've had games where a team of solos beat 4+ fire teams but some times it just puts you in a bad game but I stay for the medallion and the teams are probably gonna get broken up

I especially love the feeling of soloing the spark and igniting it by yourself (Nightstalker makes it soooo easy), I've done it a couple times. Best feeling dunking the spark in.

Destiny is a unique experience. It's not good or bad. It just is. It's meant to be enjoyed in the first place. Everyone has there own way of seeing things and they judge each experience on a personal level. I have fun doing pretty much anything in destiny, thats because of the lore and gameplay.

I really was expecting the worst. But it really hasn't been that bad. Of course the occasional hair pulling because of 6 man fire teams completely annihilating us. Then a group of us randoms would put it to a 6 man fire team. Balanced out and lag hasn't been as bad. Also got 2 hatchets from rank 5 packages, 1 a 319 and another a 320.
