I use Mida quite a bit, I have done since getting the gun in year one. I even used it when the the meta was thorn/Last Word. At the moment I have just as much success with iron banner auto and red spectre as I do with Mida and Hung Jury. I use Mida mainly due to it's increased agility, same with my red spectre. Mida is a good defence against camping snipers as long as you get the first shot in to stagger. Unfortunately Bungie has nerfed too many weapons and the Meta being what it is means the Mida is a popular choice now, however that doesn't mean Mida needs to be changed. That being said though I would like to see the Meta changed as it is getting boring seeing teams full of Midas and this coming from a Mida user :-)
