You told me I would inevitably die, why fight something you know you can not stop, more important to convey a message. I'm not a very violent person either.

Everyone will inevitably die. But you can choose how you meet that end. Your countrymen in Carthage fought the Romans with all their might for many years, as did you. Why should you lay down your arms now and accept death?

I like that answer. You live in an Aztec village and have been chosen by the high priest to be sacrificed to the Gods. It is considered a great honor among your people and there is much feasting the night before.
