I understand where you are coming from because you are 100 percent right. It was implemented to keep new players from getting pub-stomped right off the bat. The problem with how Bungie implemented it is that they don't give us a choice, e.g. Ranked playlists, and they don't scale the search. Meaning if there is no one on your skill level currently searching for a match in your are they will just broaden then search and keep on doing so until your matched up with people on a different continent. Again this isn't all the time I have had some lag free matches. But it happens enough to where it is now a big problem. This sbmm has to be removed and severely revamped if it is gojng to be effective at all. It should be regional imo. And should scale down the needed skill level to match up. It's ok if you get pub-stomped from time to time that's how the game should be. This system is severely flawed and should be removed. That's my opinion at least.
