Signed. I bought the Ghost Edition. The Year One content was worth it, I'll say that. I was with one of the first 10 teams to beat the VoG and tweet it out to Bungie.
I'm sad to say that I have not felt the old drive to play Destiny in over 3 months, with the exception of a couple recent scattered attempts to get back in and the SRL event.
Unless things drastically change, I wont be preordering Destiny 2, let alone at all get a collector's edition version. They've betrayed our trust and lied to us twice (micro transactions, which they outright said would not happen in any capacity, and now this SBMM debacle). I wont say I wont get it, but you can count me out for the first couple to a few weeks, and my money will easily sooner go to other games and their DLC than this.
I remember and will never forget when they blatantly said, "Crucible was never meant to be competitive, but something fun you could retreat to after going on a bunch of strikes, patrols, and raiding. A place to relax after coming back from the wild."
I know Bungie is capable of better. We all do, we've all seen Halo, we all closely watched with strained eyes to catch every pre-launch look at this game. Those of us that made it to the Moon in the beta understand the mystery and danger that the Destiny Universe embodied early on. Those of us that gazed upon hours worth of story in the Grimoire know that there's a rich universe behind the curtain of a game we're presented with now.
So, for now, until we see things fixed, systems reworked, and progression to this massive undertaking made;
Per Audacia Ad Astra, Guardians. May it be sooner than later.
